Iran security forces arrested and Beat an environment activist, Isa Feizi in Kamyaran, and transferred him to an unknown location.
Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that security forces attacked the shop of Isa Faizi, the environmental activist and a former member of the Kurdish branch of the National Unity Party in Kamyaran, beat and arrested him on Saturday, Jan 5. The activist was transferred to an unknown location.
An environmental activist of Kamyaran has told KHRN that the arrest of four environmental activists in Kamyaran has created an atmosphere of fear among people.
According to this source, the security forces aim to frighten people by raiding the homes of activists and group arresting them in addition to insulting the families of the detainees.
Over the past week, three other environmental activists of the Kurdistan branch of National Unity Party in Kamyaran, Reza Asadi, Hadi Kamangar and Fazil Qiatassi, have been arrested in Kamyaran. Moreover, Farhad Mohammadi, a lawyer and secretary of the National Unity Party in Kurdistan, was arrested by security forces in Sanandaj. These people are now under investigation at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre.
