In response to reports about Kurdish prisoner Zeynab Jalalian and two human rights defenders, Soheila Hijab and Narges Mohammadi, who have deprived emergency medical treatment for the coronavirus, Amnesty International called on Iranian authorities to provide them with immediate medical care.

Zeynab Jalalian, a Kurdish political prisoner, contracted the coronavirus during quarantine at Qarchak Prison last month. Also, in the past few days, news has been published about the possibility of Narges Mohammadi being infected in Zanjan prison and Soheila Hijab being infected with the coronavirus in Qarchak prison.

Amnesty International released a statement that Zeynab Jalalian had been missing for two weeks after being transferred from the Rey (Qarchak) city jail to an unknown location and called on Iranian officials to immediately notify about her fate and whereabouts and allow her to contact her family and lawyers.
