Kurdish civil society activist Arman Shakeri was arrested by the Intelligence Unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on 6 December and taken to an unknown location.

Shakeri was severely injured during the November protests by the direct shooting of the Iranin security forces in his right leg. He was under limited treatment at his family home due to fear of being detained at public hospitals.

Despite his family’s follow-up over the past few days, no exact information has been obtained on his fate.

On the other hand, there is no information over the fate of more than 50 people who were shot, wounded and arrested by security forces during protests in the cities of Javanrood, Kermanshah, Sanandaj, Marivan and Bukan.

In recent days, after repeated families’ follow-up to security and judicial authorities, only a few of these families have been told that their beloved ones are under interrogation and being held in the custody of the IRGC and Intelligence Service.
