A worker from Kamyaran lost his life at Tohid Hospital in Sanandaj due to severe burn injuries.
According to reports received by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on February 09, Bijan Gholoozi, a worker at Kamyaran Asphalt factory, referred to the factory’s office to enquire about his wages which had not been paid for the past 11 months. An hour later, he suffered from serious burns due to unknown reasons and he was transferred to the hospital immediately.
There are various stories about the causes of this incident. The employer of this Kurdish worker has reported the cause as self-immolation with the gallon of gasoline in the factory’s office. However, the factory workers have stated that the fire had started by the employer who had pushed the gallon of Gasoline with his feet towards the victim following a dispute.
The worker, who suffered from third degree burns died after three days in the hospital last night on February 11 at Tohid Hospital in Sanandaj.

He had 23 years of work experience and he was married with five children.
