A prisoner was executed on murder charges at Tabriz Central Prison this morning, January 29. He was transferred to a solitary confinement cell yesterday.
A reliable source has identified the prisoner as Karim Mohebbi from Tabriz.
He was arrested four years ago on charges of murder, during which time he was detained in ward 3 of Tabriz Central Prison.
The national media have not announced the news of the execution of this prisoner yet.

Jamal Mardani, a 54-year-old prisoner from Miandoab, West Azerbaijan Province, was executed on 21 April for drug-related offences in Kerman Central Prison, Kerman Province.
