On Tuesday, June 30, the death sentence of a prisoner named Mohammad Aziz Mahmoudi was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison, a reliable source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
He was arrested in 2018 at the age of 23 on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death.
In the past few days, following the transfer of this prisoner to solitary confinement to execute the sentence, a group of civil activists had tried to obtain the victim’s family leniency to stop enforcing the sentence.
