Zeynab Ismaili, a member of the “KurdishP eace Mothers” has been arrested in Dehgolan since February 27 and transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj. She has not been allowed to call or visit her family.

“Daye Zeynab suffers from gastrointestinal diseases, especially the stomach, and must take her medications on time. In the past few days, the Ismaili family has repeatedly taken her medications to the Sanandaj Intelligence Agency, but this security body has so far refused to deliver the medications. ” A source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

According to the source, Ismaili’s family are seriously concerned about her health due to continued detention in harsh conditions of solitary confinement while being deprived of the right to call and visit her family in addition to being deprived of her medications.

Zeynab Ismaili, the mother of Mohammed Amiri, is a member of the People’s Protection Units(YPG). Mohammed Amiri was killed in 2014 while defending the the city of Kobani against ISIL attack.

” Kurdish Peace Mothers” was founded by the mothers of two groups: Kurdish political prisoners who were executed by the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) and Kurdish parties’ members who lost their lives in clashes with the security forces of the I.R.I.

In recent years, the security agencies are putting increasing pressures on th members of Kurdish Peace Mothers, especially in the cities of Sanandaj, Marivan and Dehgolan.
