Peyman (Hawar) Abdi, a labor activist from Marivan, was arrested by security forces in Marivan and transferred to Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Sanandaj.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that the Kurdish activist called Peyman (Hawar) Abdi was arrested in one of the streets of Marivan on the evening of July 13 by security forces and he was taken to the Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Sanandaj.

After a two-day interrogation at the Marivan Intelligence Bureau, this activist was transferred to the Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Sanandaj where he would be detained for a month.

This activist has only had one short telephone call with his family yesterday on July 16 in order to inform them of his arrest by a security agency in Sanandaj and his one-month imprisonment.
