A student from Sardasht was arrested by security forces in Orumiyeh and transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison after the completion of the interrogations.

According to reports received by Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on 22 November 2017, a student of Orumiyeh University called Ebrahim Mohammadpour, was arrested by the security forces on charges of participating in national protests in Orumiyeh. After being detained at the Intelligence Bureau of Orumiyeh for two days, he was transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison.

This prisoner is currently held in ward 13 of the prison while he has not been told what has been decided for him.

Moreover, two other students of Orumieh University called “Syvan Kalami from Sanandaj and Mohammad Javad Amirsadaghi from Maragheh”, both of whom arrested by anti-riot forces in mid-December during a nationwide protest in Orumiyeh and transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison, were released on bail from prison last week.

Another student from University of Kermanshah called Nabi Tardast (studying MSc in Sociology), who was arrested on Friday, Dec 29, 2017 by anti-riot forces and plainclothes during national protests, was released from ward 10 of Dizelabad Central Prison in Kermanshah a few days ago.
