A Kurdish psychiatrist, therapist and translator Naser Hemati was released on bail on December 31.

He was detained by security forces at his family’s home in Isfahan on Wednesday, December 25, and taken to a security detention centre in the city, local sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network.

He was arrested following the release of his comments about the November protests. 

Hemati is from Abadan in Ilam province and he has published several translated books in the field of psychotherapy in Iran.
