On March 24, 2018, a Kolbar from Sardasht was wounded by direct shooting of the Iranian border guards.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that on March 24, Iranian border guards near the village of Kani Zard, from the Sardasht, targeted a caravan of the Kolbars. ِDuring this incident, a kolbar called Loghman Ahmadzadeh was wounded.

The 37-year-old kolbar, a resident of Shamooleh village is currently undergoing medical treatment at Sardasht Hospital.

According to the information obtained by the KHRN, the city of Sardasht was the deadliest region of Kurdistan with 18 cases of death and injury among Kolbars in 2016. The number of Kolbars losing their life is increasing every year due to the failure of the Iranian government to prosecute armed forces committing these murders.
