Mohammad Naeimpour, a Kurdish Civilian from Hassan Abad of Sanandaj who has been sentenced to one year of imprisonment, was transferred to Sanandaj Central Prison to endure his sentence.
Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that, upon finalization of the one-year sentence of Mohammad Naempour, law enforcement forces arrested him in his house and transferred him to the Sanandaj Central Prison on Wednesday, January 09.
This civilian was transferred to the prison although, according to his doctor, prison conditions are detrimental to his health as he suffers from heart disease.
Mohammad Naeimpour, 45 and a resident of Hassan Abad in Sanandaj, was detained by security forces in Sanandaj and transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj on November 25, 2017. After interrogation, he was transferred to the Sanandaj Prison, but he was hospitalized a few days later due to heart problems. Mohammad Naeimpour was finally released on December 21 on a bail of 150 million Tomans.
He was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment on February 15, 2018, on charges of cooperating with a Kurdish party by branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj chaired by Judge Saeedi.
Upon contesting the verdict, the dossier of Naeimpour was referred to branch 4 of Sanandaj Court of Appeal which reduced his sentence to one year in prison.
