Adel Salem Fard, a Kurdish civilian of Oshnavieh (Shno in Kurdish) who was arrested by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in late June, was transferred to the Orumiyeh Central Prison two months after his arrest.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained information that this Kurdish civilian was detained on June 16, 2019 along with another civilian, Jebriel Salem Fard, by the IIntelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Oshnavieh. Jebriel Salem Fred was released after several hours of interrogation, but Adel Salem Fred was transferred to the detention centre formerly known as “81 Ramadan” which is currently controlled by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

He was transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison on Thursday, Aug 15, 2019, after two months of interrogation at the security detention centre.

Adel Salem Fard is from Amirabad village of Oshnavieh and a graduate of Law from Payam Noor University of Mahabad. He was also arrested in August last year on charges of cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran and later released on bail.
