A civil activist called Sediq Rustami was sentenced to 1 Year of imprisonment by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj on charges of insulting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), on Saturday, October 13, Seddiq Rostami, a civil activist in Sanandaj, was summoned to Branch 1 of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court and his one-year imprisonment sentence on charges of insulting the Islamic Republic’s Supreme leader was served on him. The verdict was issued while another hearing has been scheduled on Nov 19, 2018 at Branch 104 of the Penal Court of the Province for the same charge.
This activist was informed by a written summons on Sept 23, 2018 that his trial would be held at Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj on Oct 7, 2018 following an indictment filed by the prosecutor.
