Iranian border guards have targeted a number of Kurdish Kolbars and civilians in Oshnavieh (Shno in Kurdish), Sardasht and Piranshahr. As a result, one kolbar has lost his life while two others have been injured.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained information that Iranian border guards have opened fire at a group of Kolbars near the “KileShin” in the border area of Shno on August 20, 2019. This incident resulted in the death of a 32-year-old Kolbar “Mohammad Hamizadeh”.

On Aug 12 and 18, Iranian guards in the border areas of Sardasht shot and wounded two villagers on the pretext of smuggling goods. As a result, Sadr Bayiri from the village of Ghelesh and Sediq Alikhani from the village of Biogi were wounded.

Sediq Alikhani is said to have been shot by border guards while he was gathering “Mazu”.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, five kolbars and businessmen have been killed since late July, with at least five other kolbars and civilians injured. A kolbar has also been injured as a result of falling from a height in the Huraman border area.
