Hoshyar Kasraei, a citizen from the village of Nay of Marivan who had been arrested by security forces earlier this year on July 11, 2018, was released from Marivan Prison on a bail of 200 million Tomans.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that this Kurdish citizen was temporarily released from the Marivan prison on bail on Oct 16, 2018 until his trial is being held.

He was arrested by security forces on July 11 this year along with another citizen of the Nay village called Veria Faraji, on charges of cooperating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties. They were transferred to Intelligence Ministry’s Detention Centre in the city of Sanandaj for interrogation.

Veria Faraji was released after a 34-day detention on Aug 16, 2018, on a bail of 120 million tomans, but Hoshyar Kasraei was interrogated until Oct 3, 2018 at the Detention Centre of the Intelligence Ministry before being transferred to the Marivan Prison later.
