A 15-year-old Kolbar was injured as a result of the shooting of the Sardasht border troops toward a caravan of Kolbars on Saturday morning.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that on Saturday, November 17, the border forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran opened fire at the group of Kolbars in the border area of Sardasht, which resulted in a 15-year-old Kolbar Mehran Dastani Rad being wounded in his leg.

Dastani Rad was released after his cargo was seized by the border guards and he was transferred to the Sardasht hospital by a group of local people.

On Wednesday, Nov 14, 2018, a 36-year-old tradesperson (Kasibkar) known as Loghman Khayali from Baneh was also shot and wounded by border guards in the border area of Choman.

It is worth mentioning that the blockade of Pedlar Plan (Pilewari in Persian) at the border crossing, inflation and unemployment have led to people to turn into Kulbari in Iran’s Kurdistan. Despite the contradictory statements of Iranian officials about their support of Kulbars, the systematic killing of kulbars and border businessmen by Iranian troops has increased over the past few months.
