At noon today, a prisoner charged with murder was transferred to solitary confinement at Khoy Prison in order in anticipation of enforcing the sentence.
Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that a prisoner charged with murder “Nader Hajizadeh” has been transferred to solitary confinement in Khoy Prison for execution at noon today, July 24.
Prison authorities have told the prisoner’s family that his death sentence would be carried out tomorrow if the “blood owner (Oliya-e-dam)” did not show leniency towards him.
Two other prisoners, “Shahin Gholami” and “Mohammad Teymouri” previously sentenced to death, were transferred to solitary confinement in Orumiyeh Central Prison to enforce the death sentence.
